which program(s) is (are) used to slice images and add rollover effects

I`ve seen so many pages in the web which are basically sliced images with rollover effects -
Recently I downloaded Ulead Smart Saver Pro , that seems to be hard to deal with -

What program(s)that performs the same task do you recommend besides Smart saver ?

    Cheers

Well... there are several options that come to mind here...

Adobe Image Ready ( don't use it my self but many do http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Ulead's PhotoImpact ( I don't use the roll over options within this app either , however, IMHO PI has a terrific slicer... I slice the nav bar into buttons, then save as HTML, bring this into your fav web editor and then apply DHTML roll over effects within the editor it's self... )

or... any app such as PSP or what ever, which has a slice tool, to which, back to your fav web editor for DHTML...

Yep, Adobe ImageReady is the industry standard, along with Fireworks, from Macromedia.

I'd say ImageReady is more intuitive and less buggy.

    Good luck.

Check it out. I do all my design layouts in Xara X and then export the slices to HTML using its slicing functionality.

I have started using their new MenuMaker to make custom menus too. It is incredibly easy and very functional. You can't beat it for 20 bucks.

    It does a great job!

Don't know what trouble you're having with Smart Saver pro...I've used it and Photoimpact for years for slicing...Both work extremely well for slicing, but I don't use rollover effects from PI.

    Hi Gidgit, what's happening?

Randy, I'm originally from Florissant, but have lived in Atlanta for many years now...(Still a Cards fan, though)...You a STL native?
