Think what $160 million could do in Nepal at the moment. It's the sheer miss use of money that gets me, I can afford it so I will buy it, just to show I got millions.

And it will hang in an obscure,inhabitable place on earth!
But than again,we all paid for it by our need for oil-related products.

That is huge amount of money and can benefit many things.
It is definitely obscene to spend this much on a painting. However we have to remember that the top 40% income bracket pays over 100% of the tax bill in our countries. So we do get the money in other ways from this high income group. Other parts of the world I couldn't speak for.
