    Default Using Avengers Font

    Hi All,

I have my 49th birthday on Thursday, I know I am getting on a bit but only feel 29. My kids, aged 7 and 8, and I are big "Avengers" fans. My girls want to take me to see "Avenegers:Age of Ultron" soon, but I have to make a voucher so that my wife can give it to the girls to give to me as a surprise on Thursday. I found an "Avengers"-type font (Avenegeance Heroic Avenger font) but wondered whether anyone could recommend anything better? I have just started making the voucher and the text is "full colour" and wondered how I could make it have the same sort of "metallic" appearance we see on the genuine marketing material? My girls wont bother about the accuracy but I am a bit of a pain when it comes to "perfectionism".

    49 is YOUNG. :-)

Have you looked on www.DaFont.com They have a ton of free fonts and I am sure you can find one that comes close. Unless your kids study typography, they won't know the difference if the colors and slant of the letters is similar.

At least the commercial version isn't too far off. It wouldn't take much manipulation after converting the text to curves in order for it to agree with the poster I downloaded. A few minute job.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

    Yes, Andy.
I also have the 'Avengence Heroic Avenger' font.
But, I'm sure you've seen that the 'A' is not quite right.

So, I did a further search and found 'The Avengers' font at http://www.ffonts.net/The-Avengers.font
However, this font is not as good as the 'Avengence Heroic Avenger' font because it doesn't have all the letters.

But, what is good about 'The Avengers' font is that the 'A' is more like the original. You will have to use the 'V' from this font also.

So, you will see by the attached image, how you can use both fonts together to get a very good result.
I had to adjust the Tracking between the two fonts but well worth it.

All said and done, if you don't need the 'A' to be correct, then 'Avengence Heroic Avenger' font is all you'll need.
