    Default Getting a tablet PC

I'm very seriously considering getting a windows driven tablet PC but most of my creatitiity software's on CD ROM and tablet PCs don't have CD roms. Anybody know how I can install CD ROM apps onto a tablet PC without the use of USB adapters?

If you're talking about Xara apps, download them from xara.com.
You can get the serial numbers from your account area at the xara service centre: ► http://www.xara.com/uk/servicecenter/
You may be able to download your other programs from the publishers websites also.

What sort of tablet are you going to buy without a USB it can be only been built for a price. So if you don't have USB you can always upload to the cloud then down load to your tablet. How many millions of people are now quite happily using tablets all over the world who don't worry about having a disc drive and then there are all the Ultrabooks who also don't have drives. If you are seriously considering a tablet, if you can afford one get one which has a USB port as you can run some apps through a USB Pen/Flash drive.

Even the very cheapest tablet PCs have a USB port (for example all the Linx tablets do). The only problem is that you can't both charge\run the tablet on external power and use the USB port at the same time, but for an application install there should easily be enough power in the internal battery.

I think the OP's point was he didn't want to have to use USB. That's how it read to me anyway.

Maybe this then http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Slim.../dp/B0076UWY0Q. The first reviewer gives insturctions on now to set it up for Windows 8, which it seems aren't clear from the documentation. Seems a bargain @ £20!

Do you have another PC? I just access the CD my other PC. Although as was said above, pretty much all the software I use is downloadable.

That looks amazing. Pity it's not blu-ray.
