Egg, I like your engine, but it has the same fault as mine. I sent my last image to a friend of mine, who commented as an engineer, "Where are the valves?"

The x3d file is a text format, and you can open it into Notepad. The first couple of dozen lines define the frame size, observer distance, and the lighting details. I just highlighted all the lines down to the Pause line and copied to the clipboard [Ctrl-C), then quit the file, and opened another, highlighted the same lines, and pasted [Ctrl-V) the clipboard over them, then exited and saved the changes. I did this for 8 x3d files, each of which had the engine in one of its 9 cycling positions, so they all ended up having identical environments.

Mike and Egg, these are very inspirational. I don't miss the valves or the ignition (combustion), just enjoy watching them.

My apologies, Turan, I'd almost forgotten it, I did the tut ages ago, but it was too big to post, so I put it on the back burner to think about it, and then the last eight or ten weeks I've been either too busy or had computer problems, and I'm still not online yet, (I'm typing this on a friend's PC during a weekend visit). I hope to be back on-line soon.

I'm also working on another project, but it is proving to be rather time-consuming, and is also a bit speculative, in that I don't know how it'll turn out.
