Hiya!
I'm hardly looking for a[ny] possibility to con-
vert the Xara 'X3D' file format into Macromedia
W3D format.
I'd appreciate if someone out there could help...

I don't know what a Macromedia W3D format is. Xara3D can export an animation as a Vector or Bitmap .swf file (although very badly). Could you import it into Flash and then re-export it out of Flash as a W3D file, or as an .ai file the export it again from there?

Hi, Egg!
What I'm constantly trying to is to convert
the .X3d files into any known vector 3D file
format as .3ds (3d-Studio max), .ma (Maya), .W3D(Shockwave 3D) etc.

Hi Ollienchen,
I'd like to add my welcome along with Egg's.
If you open one of the .x3d files with notepad.exe I think you will see why they would be very difficult to make a direct conversion to any other 3D vector format. The files are actually text commands/parameters to the Xara3D program engine. As Egg mentioned, the only vector format exportable by Xara3D would be the Flash format.
