February 2015 Giveaway - Nouveau Gothic Rounded Outlined Font

I thought of doing a 'quickie' as well, Mike.

This is the idea I had.

A great font, Gary.
Saying 'many thanks' is not thanks enough, really.

Context is everything...sometimes good, sometimes not.

The cover was "naked" without a graphical element. I had looked for a picture of your mug, but failed. So LiveBrush to the rescue. I also changed the font to DIN Next. A touch softer than ITC Franklin.

I think you've dived in with both feet on this new, "Type styles" stuff, stygg, and you're 200% the better today for the time you took.

How about let us consider font size on the page versus how important the phrase is. Would switching the fonts so the "A new font" was in Gothic sans serif, and the "Designed by" was in Roman?

Ask yourself (everyone always needs to ask themselves) what the hierarchy of importance is when casting phrases in different fonts. Which is least and how do you make it least important? With size, color, choice of font, where the text is on the page, and so on...

It's a rich subject that has been around since the printed word. I'd say that because we have not stopped fussing with typography, there is always room for one more artist's input.
