    Default Supersite gallery

I've been wondering how many supersites are out there? I publish my little humour pages as a supersite and I thought it might be interesting to see what uses others have found for supersites. I'm sure supersites could be useful for all kinds of things So if you have a supersite you would like to show us feel free to post the link in this thread.

So to start this off here is my supersite web publication: http://www.goodmorningsunshine.ca/on...sues/index.htm This will open the most current issue and we over write each week so our readers can bookmark the link and always have quick access to the newest issue.

Hmm. I don't really know what all to say.

When I visited the Super Site using a desktop browser, the pages are way to small to read comfortably. As well, any attempt to resize the page using ctrl + +, well:

When I went to the main site, it was far better sized for a desktop browser. However, the first few links I attempted to click on are dead links.

Thanks Mike. I had the scale to fit screen option checked in the website export options. but interestingly when I tested resizing the browser page with Ctrl++ I didn't get the same results the page just didn't resize. If you try now it should be much better.

The dead links will soon be fixed the main site is under reconstruction.

Ah, far, far nicer! Scales here nicely in a couple browsers...I can read it without squinting.

    Well done. Mike

Pardon me for sounding ignorant Frances, but can you explain to me what a supersite is?

Frances, you might give some thought to a page title to let the search engines know what kind of website you have. index does not do it.

I like your site. Here is a vertical Supersite I just published a couple of days ago:

    http://everydayesp.net/

It occurred to me that a vertical supersite would be perfect for a streaming version of our home study course - people could just keep scrolling down from page to page through all of the lessons. But then I ran a test and it looks like it won't work. The uses php pages that can be protected. With a regular site, the first page is index.htm (required by Xara) and can be used as a longin page. Then all the rest are php pages. But with the vertical supersite, it all acts like an htm site and none of the pages are protected.

    Here is my test site:

    http://silvashop.com/memsm/

I'll try a side-by-side site and see if it works any better.

@ Egg: when the visitor finishes reading a page they would be at the bottom which was why I put the navigation there (about where you might turn the pages in an actual printed publication)

@: Steve: This thread was made sticky as the idea was to provide a little space for anyone who might want to show how they use the supersite feature. It is not just a showcase for my work. If you have a supersite you have done you are more than welcome to share it here.

@ restless:I think in order to have your protected pages a supersite might not be the best Idea. A regular site might better suit your needs. but I like the long scrolling site you posted except it gets to be a lot of scrolling after about 4 pages or so.
