creating link for text in text box issue

On your Contact page, you have place the contact text box on the Page background layer. The Page background layer disregards links.

Move it to the MouseOff layer as you have on the Index page.

This might not be the problem, but make sure you have your site's layers organised correctly. It is too easy to put stuff on a layer that gets "covered" by a text panel on a higher layer in the stack.

What I don't understand is how things get placed on the Page layer which is locked by default. I think some of the templates have objects on the Page layer which are placed there so the user does not accidentally change something. But this does not appear to be the case.

It's annoying, actually. Say you lock a layer but leave it selected and then you move on, go to bed, whatever. Later you pull in a picture without regard to what layer is selected (I do that all the time ). A message comes up telling you that you just put something on a locked layer , which you then have to unlock to move the object to the intended layer! Shouldn't happen.

Or as I do, Ctrl+X, select the correct Layer & Ctrl+Shift+V.
