Not to worry: our Giveaway of the New Year (2015 in many, many countries) isn’t the only Giveaway at Xara Xone for the whole year—it’s just January’s! Gary Bouton has created 25 beautiful, ugly, and outrageous seamless textures for your work in Xara, all in PNG file format, mostly at 512 by 512 pixels. Be the first person to download this handsome collection, and you’ll be the first to be able to use it (you were expecting an additional prize!?)

Show us how you use textures in your work with this fresh batch of textures!

There used to be a cracker commercial that went something like, "If it sits on a Ritz"...

I used several of the textures in this, but probably nothing would make the design tasty.

New planet discovered, named Otis P (*).
(actually made using Gare's Driftwood texture with the help of an ancient Paintshop Pro 8 for the spherize and illumination effects). The rest was done in XDP 9 with the help of the Glitterato plugin from Flaming Pear.
(*) Named after the Otis P. Driftwood character played by Groucho in the Marx Brothers movie Night at the Opera from 1935.

Thanks Gare! My favorite is Decflor2 in terms of pretty but "Messy but elegant" is also very nice. I love some of the names you gave the tiles and my favorites are "Uncomfortable ice cubes" and "Alien ship hull".

iamtheblues -- Planet Otis looks great!

I used several of the textures for the dragon, it's bowl, and background layers...

    Thanks Larry!
    I used the textures:
Reptile Hide, Alien Ship Hull, Brass Armor, Same Nightmare in Blue.

On the cracker worm image I used Reptile Hide, Alien Ship Hull, Wet Saltine, Sand, Driftwood, and Wood.

Great image of the dragon Maya so sticking with the theme "Dragons" I came up with this, not used all the fills Gary posted this month but one from Tonal tiling fills. A wee bit late but - Happy New Year to everyone.
