Hi Steve - I have not compressed the drive. I tried to install this on two separate internal drives - an SSD and seagate sata. No luck with either.

Try adding Xara to your DEP exception list.

Will not allow the program to be added - "DEP must be enabled for this program".

Shouldn't be giving you that message??
I just added it to the DEP exceptions without an issue. It's an option offered by Xara support KB in anycase.

I don't think I can add that since the program never installs correctly. I tried to add the installation file and got that message since that is where the error message emanates. I appreciate all of your help and hope that Xara tech supports steps back in with some suggestions as well - it's getting a bit annoying that I'm unable to install this program.

Steve - just a quick update. Xara tech support was able to assist in getting the program installed (I had to create a new administrator account). Unfortunately, I can't get the program to open with the original administrator account (same error message pops up), but I can live with that now as long as it's on the right computer! Thanks for all of your suggestions - it's greatly appreciated!

Yes, a corrupted user profile can cause many issues.
    Might be worth fixing properly.
