Pop up with blurred see trough background

Hello,

I want to bring up a pop up at the first page of my website. I managed to do that.

But i would like to have a transparant but also blurred background on the pop up layer.
The white rectangle has to become transparant and blurred.
So visitors can still see the actual homepage behind the pop up, but not in detail.

It would be great if someone could help me out.

You cheat.
Take a bitmap image of your landing page, soft-blur the image with a Live Effect soften filter, use the Transparency Tool and add behind your pop-up.
