Fonts80 - Is there any reason why it has to be this particular font?

Thank you for the reply. These are the best samples I could find. I tired using helvetica neue lt std 66 medium italic, however, to me, it looks a little to thick and the letter "O" is different to the one in the sample. I'm left uncertain. We need this exact font for graphic work to put on DVD for a client.
Hopefully these samples are a-little easier to see. The letter "O" in "hello" looks rounder.
Ah yes, the O...
House Industries makes some other Helvetica varients.
Try Reefont (an old one you may find but I don't think they sell it any more. Worth an email to them). It may have been redone as Chalet Book, also by House Industries.
I had to be creative on the kerning to make the red outlined font overlay the bitmap.

I contacted House Industries, hopefully they will get back to me. As for know, any idea what type of Helvetica font this is? It does seem alot rounder in shape.
I think House's take is just one of the many, many Helvetica variations that came on the heels of the original. Like Univers, the Neues, etc. There are literally hundreds of variations. Which is one reason why matching them is so darn difficult, even with good samples.
I own several House Industries font families. Better made than a lot of fonts, even from big-name foundries. In looking more at their site, I think that the Chalet 1960 Paris (part of a large family) and the Chalet book is what they now sell. I cannot find a recent reference to the Reefont family at all. And that name really may be part of the Chalet family. I found references and images of it, but I don't know if it really is different.
It does seem to match up decently, even with your recent samples.
