Very nice and festive Veeness. I moved your post to December simply because the letter for December is O. I think it is a great idea to make a Christmas ornament as the Drop Cap, fits right in with the letter and the Christmas season. Did you see what Acorn did with the December scribble? That was very clever of him.

I'm not sure it is better, just different. Now you got me going, so, I might do one too.

Here's an Aussie bend on the previous one above with gum leaves and Christmas colour theme. I love how your morphs inspire you you for another and another. I'm waiting to see yours.

Good one Veeness. Yes they are fun. Maybe I'll have to put the scribble I am working on, on hold so I can do one.

Here is kind of a Christmassy one, OK not Christmassy but at least it fits the letter and the season.

    Thanks Veeness.
I did two things on the snow area.
    1. cloned it and used fractal cloud trannsparecy and darkened to my liking, then moved it behind the snow man and in front of the snow.
    2. Grouped all the snow areas and applied the live effect diffuse vertically. That gave it that grainy look, particurly noticeable on the edges.
