Yes, JPEG is notorious for not dealing with red very well. In the last few versions of Xtreme there's an improvement in how JPEGs are saved that has vastly improved this situation, if Mcffee is still using v5 (as he says in his profile) this could be the problem.

No idea about fiverr until your post but it would appear browsing through the site that they do indeed accept png files. Looking at the Logos section and inspecting vero logo using Firebug it loads a png file:

There seems to be a limit of 50Mb size.
