Cannot open a worksheet because 'Error: Out of memory'

Working with Xara for many years, but this is the second new serious problem in 3 days.

With only one file I get this popup 'Error: Out of memory' and I'm not able to open the file. The given suggestion on the Xara Support website says 'Compress JPG images' yes very useful when you can't open the file.

Any suggestions here?

Hi Mcffee

If you are still using Xara Xtreme as you list in your Profile then you might be out of luck. If you are using one of the more recent versions then try this:

File > Open Recent > Backups...

See if you have a recent backup that loads and then save it with the original site name.

Hi Gary,

The past 5 years I use Xtreme 5 Silver it's a free version because I lost my paid version and not bought it again yet.

This version has no automated backups, unfortunately, one very good reason to upgrade again.
