Their creator, Member and TG Moderator Christine Farrelly, took our font collaboration, the Celebrated Burgeon Ornaments TG, and used a technique that’s top secret (!) to turn portions of the characters into elegant seamless tiling patterns. Thank you Christine for the tiles which are really cool, especially when I viewed what Gary had done in #2.

Okay, that was using one of Christine's patterns to a 3D model using it as displacment mapping, which makes my effort interesting but 100% outside of our favourite program! :)

I think this is 3D(ish) and all I did was modulate the colours and use the 3D Bump Live Effect. You could also Emboss the thing, and then make a copy so then you can Contone it:



I'm particularly jazzed about using some of these patterns on walls in my modeling work, and restaurant menu borders, when The Four Seasons and Chili's need my talents.
