    I've done something a bit similar with my mobile phone and a free app. Good Kaleidoscopic effect though. If you have CorelDraw 5/6 I suggest you try it that or Videostudio pro 5.

    it is easy: repetition of the same n shapes around circle (angle 360/n) and color and transparent combinations (n is usually 4,6,8,12, sometimes more)

    Darker colours work much better! What a good play.
