Question How to combine front and back of a brochure/business card?

I've designed a brochure (front and back) and a business card (front and back), how am I to combine the front and back of the brochure/business card so that it when I save it as .pdf both front and back will be in a single pdf file. Please shed some light on this ASAP!

    Thank You,
    AFX.

Size the business card proportionately so that the width is the same as the brochure.

Then copy both sides and paste them as new pages underneath the brochure.

Make sure you uncheck make all pages same size...

    Then export as one PDF.

I think... Sorry not at my computer to try it out.

But should work... As long as a PDF can have different size pages.

Exclamation Re: How to combine front and back of a brochure/business card?

No no no, I don't want to combine brochure and business card. I want to combine the front of the brochure to the back, I have them in two separate psd files. Same with the business card, I want the front and back psd which are separated to be exported as one pdf. So what I want to know is, how is it done.

    Thank you.

I see... Just start a new document and import the psd file.

Then create a second blank page and import the second psd file.

    Export whole document as PDF.

AFX - what you are asking for is not possible.

You cannot turn the PDF document over to see the other side.

You create a front image/pdf and a back image/pdf and a printer either desktop duplex or a commercial printing company will print one side at a time.

Yes your increase the work for the printer as he has to set up for each therefore it is going to cost you more. The way both digital & litho works that they use large sheets of paper and many copies are printed on one sheet passing through the machines on both sides. Then they're taken to the guillotine and sliced. Can you imagine try to slice both brochure & biz. card at the same time. You have the choice when exporting your PDF, 1 file containing front and back of each doc or 4 separate files with their correct names. I like to manually put my cut lines on my docs so that I have control where they are cut and outside of where it is cut type a description like front side ---- biz. card and company name. That way there can be no mistakes as I have been surprised on one occasion.

Hmmmm... I see where I went wrong.

For some reason was I thinking you were using a Xara product.

I did not look and see where the post was located.

I don't think you can make a multi-page document with Photoshop.

You need something along the line of Illustrator or any other program that is meant to create multi-page documents.

    So sorry for the misunderstanding.

I would use Acrobat Pro to combine PDF's it is the best way and the easiest but if you don't have it on your h/disc then use PS. From the file menu File > Automate > PDF Presentation,
    1. Select the files you want to convert to pdf.
    2. Select Multi-Page Document.
    3. Click Save button.
..and then the Save abobe PDF window comes up, where you can define the pdf settings and then save it. Don't click on the "Presentation" save as "Multi-Page PDF Document"

Hope that helps. Hope that you didn't think in my first reply I was teaching you "to suck eggs" but as mod I have to cover all bases.
