why won't the flyouts work on my tools bar, right-clicking does not work either, i have xara 9, thanks

I take it you can hover over each of the top menu items from File to Help and the apar with a light grey background.
Once you click one, the fly-outs are active and as you move over each the fly-out for all the menus and sub-menus are active.

Do you have the screen maximized? If not do so and then the flyouts will work. I found that if for some reason I have made the screen smaller, the icons are not in the correct place and clicking on them will not work. If this is not your problem we'll work on it, and see what we will see.
