Stygg thanks but sorry, can not be too much football in a mind

The reason here was rather my traditional approach that let's solve everything through the Extrude tool lights So briefly the laziness But I admit there are much more opportunities in this way of drawing through the sides

I was thinking of what to do from the Scribble, that Larry posts every month.
I then remembered that Gary's been teaching us about 3D...

So, I thought I would try and put both ideas into practice.
Obviously you can let me know if things look OK?

I think your technique and rendering of the steel texture is wonderful, Rik. Only one minor observation: Because the shadows are casting slightly to the right and to the back, that means the light source must be in front, casting from the left to right.

Therefor, unless there's a hidden light or internal ambient illumination, the area I've circled here should not be light: it is hidden from the light source by the front face, no?

Nice style and a lot of work is evident, Rik.

    Three thumbs up!

    Hey!
I don't remember drawing a black arrow and a red circle on my drawing?!

Seriously though. I wondered about that. Tried it on the right leg of the 'M', and didn't like it.
Then, got a bit involved with other bits and I think I just forgot.

OK. I'll have another go and see what it looks like.

You don't? It's right there. Or did Gare do it, I'm confused.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

    I'm normally very careful.
Obviously, this time I was distracted by something.
Good of Gary to point out, that I'd left an arrow and a red circle in my drawing!
