Default Another way to modify fonts

I just completed a project and I wanted to share with you. I had to modify the fonts in a graphic.

Nice. Want to share with us how you did it? Maybe even a mini-tutorial?

Gary - I am scheduled eye surgery for both eyes. I am attempting to complete all of my project prior to that. I am restricted on working time. I am posting a graphic which displays the steps. If you do not mind, please write a min-tutorial for this. I feel that you can determine the XDPX9 tools that I used. I used Eye Candy 5> Impact > Bevel to accomplish the 3D effect. The effect is not a custom effect, it was included with the plugin.

Good luck with your eye surgery. I hope all goes well.

I think this is enough of a hint for anyone who wants to replicate this effect.

Very cool effect lser1. I do not have Eye Candy so I wonder if I could duplicate this effect using the tools I do have. Anyway I will try. What kind if eye surgery are you having? Hope all goes well.

Yes Larry you should be able to use Xara's own bevel effect for this. If you would like and if Laser won't mind I can put together a little step by step this evening. For now I have to get back to work (the kind that pays the bills )

I enjoy redrawing fonts (far more than searching for fonts that many members seem to enjoy) So in line with Lasers font manipulation I've created a somewhat long and as usual rambling video on how I manipulate fonts. If nothing else you can watch it in bed to help you drift off

Very interesting Egg. I enjoyed watching you do that. Thanks. I think the main thing I picked up on was how you used layers, but I need to watch it again, at least part of it.
If Frances wants to do one I would enjoy that also. I'd love to see what she does in recreating laser1's font effect.
