Opening a Word document from within a WS navbar or menu

I'ld like to open a Word document directly from a Webstyle 4 navbar. Directly from a hyperlink in a HTML-page it is no problem: MS Word starts and the required document is being loaded; doing the same thing as an option in a WS-menu appearantly is. How can help?
