Undulating Line Width

Hello all,

Is there a method to give a line a "squiggly" looking variable width? Somewhat like the "Intestine" pressure profile, but as you can see in this drawing,



the number of undulations per shape is fixed, so for larger shapes, it's a very gradual change in thickness.

I'd like to be able to apply this squiggly profile to already-drawn shapes, rectanges, etc. so just drawing a pressure-sensitive line isn't optimal.

Has anyone discovered tricks for doing this over the years?
