video Minimalist Film Poster - May 2014

This month's challenge is selling Danny Boyle's Sunshine.
Can you capture the plot, the drama or its memorable events in the film?

You need to sell the movie to passers-by and should be portrait format suitable to be seen from a distance.

    Hiya Folks,

Here's my first go - with a bit of symbolism. I guess if the film was advertised previous to this fantastic, professionally designed poster being produced and distributed it would make sense. But as a stand alone poster you'd had no idea about the film.

In the real world the film title, director and actor names and distributor would be on there, in the Xara Minimalist Poster world this is all you get.

Anyone get the symbolism by the way - as an additional competition within the competition.

Great film too - much underrated.

    Cheers
    David

As to your feather, perhaps it's because they all had roast chicken for supper!?!

Fair enough Acorn - but no. If you've seen the film or can remember it.....the feather, the sun....it should all fit.

    Some really nice work.

I have included copy but kept it simple.

    Here's my concept.
