Default Ice Hockey Player Caricatures for a Project

    Hullo Everyone,

I haven't posted anything for a while mainly because of procrastination, website redevelopment, a bit of paying design-work and painting and drawing in the traditional style - plus of course the everyday course of day-to-day life.

This is the start of a project for myself to create some humourous cartoon-like designs displaying ice-hockey infractions on tee-shirts - and then hopefully sell one or two [which believe me is about the usual amount I sell ].

The two heads are the players to be used in each design. I have included the original pencil drawings and the first designs.

Obviously for a punch the face [roughing] for example one of the heads will have to be changed in style to display this, along with other infractions.

Can you guess which one is the 'aggressor' and which is the victim? You only get one guess!

    Cheers folks
    David

Very good! I appreciate that you've included your original sketches. This is the way I like to do it too.

Having said that...being that they're Hockey players, shouldn't there be a little blood & bruising???

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

Fun! I bet you did the cartoons for your high school yearbook too.

    Hullo Everyone,

Thank you all for the very positive comments. I have created the first design [attached], I don't think it has quite got the 'life' I want it to have if that makes any sense but it's not a bad effort for the first go - especially as I did in about about two hours whilst watching the European Champions League final.

Gary - I'm 52 in July and in the UK we did not have yearbooks when I was at school. My schoolwork was painting stuff with poster paints, I took my O level and CSE in art passed them with good marks and then never got a job or profession that utilised this particular 'skill' that I had! Everything I do and have done has been much later in life and for my own entertainment, a little bit of paid work and showing off. I am entirely self-taught which is why some of my work is a bit 'strange' looking.

I think they do yearbooks at some schools now, I pretty much sure my grand-daughters schools does proms and yearbooks now. I know they do in Eire where most of my relatives live!

    Cheers
    David

PS: I had to reattach this image because I had completely forgotten to add the 'victims' club logo on his shirt. I'm so 'sad' I even created the logos from scratch!
