Nice one Stygg, can be feel on it the weight of block of stones and the surface of that material with white dust, it is really interesting to see the different concepts around the same topic

    @stygg—

I think what you did is a beautiful piece just as it is, and

@ csehz—that is a most interesting composition! You did this with Xara's native fractal clouds and fractal plasma?

Very ambitious and nice effect. And that reminds me to write into "Dear Xara" once more and ask for more fractal algorithms. I have a modeling program that offers about 18 variations, so I know that there's more than 2 "recipes".

Happy Memorial Day, America. Let's take a moment to remember.

Yes with the native fractal clouds and plasma, trying to keep the perspective with the logic that the starting point of the fill should be one of the corners, after the end handles are trying to follow the exact direction of the sidelines.

Plus setting the Fractal graininess to some lower value to have some wallpaper pattern to the house.

Yes thanks that would be good idea to have more fractal algorithms

This one is a more like The Fall of the House of Escher at Lego-Land Seriously though I wanted to do this one with fractal fills and wood steps, I enjoyed doing it but as ceshz has said, more algorithems for fractals would be good.

The fractal algorithms ("recipes") I have in Cinema 4D include these:

I think clearly they'd be useful in Xara as fills that can be tweaked.

I'd write to "Dear Xara", and you know what? MAGIX is located in Germany, and so is MAXON, the company who makes Cinema 4D.

    Perhaps being country-mates...?

Yes I wanted to say that finally you are Stygg the master of the fractals so definitely you should do

I like your wood pattern very much

Flattery will get you everything csehz but seriously I will write to Magix and see what they say about the fractal algorithms, and here is that wood planking tile you liked, I think it's one posted by Bob "I am the blues" in one of his Tips and tricks.

    Stygg, old buddy,

THAT one is another one for your gallery.

    Superb.

I can't think of any way to improve upon it.

Let me think up some more planar geometry!

Just in the spirit of waiting the new version of Xara Designer (first of course the Photo & Graphic designer yet), until going to totally off topic..

So why not trying to extrude such houses in Xara? Maybe because it is not too easy task to adjust the extrudes together But it is too late, they came out as extrudes like this and the material is maybe marble
