Anim question in X9

I haven't been able to figure this out yet. I have a simple anim I want to insert into my movie program. The movie app does not support .SWF, but I keep seeing .AVI in the properties. How does one save as an .AVI?

You'll need to work in an animation file. Once you're sure you're editing an animation you should see a menu entry aptly called "Export Animation" under "File". (somewhat 2/3 down the drop down menu)
Once selected you'll get a dialogue and in the "Save as type"drop down list you can select AVI video.
