    Default urgent! Image trace help needed!

    Hi.. I'm really new to illustrator and need to vectorize a raster image created in Photoshop. It is a color image and when i do the image trace in illustrator 6 it's getting these small white spaces in the image.. been tweaking all the advance settings but cant seem to get rid of them! help!!?!

    Do not really like image trace in Illustrator even the improved version that came with CS6 would rather hand trace the image. If you are going ahead with it and want rid of white areas then why not use "Select Menu, down to Same, out to Fill Colour" with one of the white areas selected. This action will remove all of the white areas.

    If you have PS you can save yourself a lot of time by improving your bit map in this programme. You might look at posterising your bitmap or in increasing the threshold, the levels. All of this type of work will depend on your bitmap content and what part of the bitmap you want to vectorise.
