And my designs 3,4,5, and 6.
I know my stuff says "Xara Photo Editor"
instead of "Xara Picture Editor". I saw
someone's design approx. 3 hrs. ago and
I guess the word "Photo" stuck in my
brain instead of "picture".

I'm sure Xara Picture Editor will more than hold its own in the picture editing arena.
A similar design might give it an undesirable "Also-Ran" flavor.
Just a thought. - Andrew

I totally agree with you Andrew, totally!!
I think it adds an air of "non professional" and if Charles and Co. wants to release new and inovative products, that's all well and good but IMHO I would go for a different theme, one that denotes professional, not "home project" user.
In any case this one has been done to death by APE (AdobePhotoshop Elements) and APE is a program that has been purposely "dumbed down" and made extra easy for non professionals. Pretty and light for all those "home projects" people.
Yes, I think the theme needs to be changed, not sure to what but it's not at all attractive to me currently! Most of the submissions that really caught my eye in this thread had NOTHING to do with flowers and "pretty" but more about the professional, quick fix type of bitmap editor.
Please think on this Charles!

Look ... no flower! Ok ... it's late and I'm just getting silly.
Just to keep it going here's a couple more.
Great designs from everyone and at least were having fun while we wait for the release of the next version of XaraX.
BTW If you check the posting Charles did he used Photo in one example and Picture in another so I guess either is OK.

Andrew, Rich. I think it doesn't really matter in these logo-proposals. Bitmap and designs elements can be changed anytime, For me, this is entertaining competition for all creative Xara X users and not the big extremely serious corporate identity contest with $$$ cash prize for the winner. ;-) In my case, it's a chance to show my respect toward this tool.
