preserving grouped layers in PSD file

Xara does not internally support grouped [nested] layers - I understand the reasoning that has been given for this from the point of view of xara alone, but for working in both vector and raster with programs such as Photoshop or SAI it's great pity

I'm not expecting xara to suddenly support the PS special layers - just the structure for use in programs that are not object oriented, and to an extent this is already there, so all is not lost

If I want to organise Xara layers so that they will be grouped in PS/SAI the I follow the syntax: GroupName\LayerName - and then all the layers which start with the same group name will be grouped accordingly [preserving the block contiguity]

But with both export/import there must be at least one object or some active pixels on each layer or else it the ignored by the xara filter and the structure breaks down - and this applies generally, not just to grouping

It would be very helpful indeed if this were fixed

oh.. and it appears that on export any PSD layers that are hidden import blank .... not good, not good at all...
