You can see that depending upon the letter, there's block edging.

I looks like a piece of crossstitch, not a true font.

It's a close up of an LCD screen.
I'm guessing that it's a font, that an LCD screen would use.

dunno Rik - I'm used to broken line LCD fonts as in the attached link first font 'digital-7' but there are some stepped ones there - are all the characters stepped, or just curvatures - very difficult to tell anything much from the screen-shot I'm afraid...

To come close to the pixellated appearance of a screen font, Rik, you might reach back in internet history about 7 or 8 years (which is prehistoric in internet time) to "Pixel Fonts", a class of type that was created to ensure a consistent look at small point sizes.
