Default Cant import an .EPS file

    Hi

I am unable to an .EPS file into Xara Pro X9 (v9.2.7.30974)
Unfortunately it is too large to import onto this forum (it is just over 526KB)

Photoshop can open it, but not Xara. (Unfortunately Photoshop needs to turn it into a bitmap though!)

I have tried Import and I have tried open using Xara

    Any suggestions?

Have you tried the AI EPS filters for the import?

Ah-ha! Only the AI "CS2" filter works.
    Many thanks, Christine

P.S. Xara staff, if you are listening it would be nice to at least get an error message rather than the software pretending nothing happened like it does now.

Also after the error message how about offering to run a wizard that has a long hard look at the file in question and tries to work out what it is, and then tries importing them into a serious of preview windows...

    Just a thought.

PPS. Out of interest, DO Xara staff ever pay much attention to this forum?

They spend more time than you know.

This would be better posted in Dear Xara.

Although the export filter has been updated the eps. file might have been updated in Adobe programmes if you like you could PM me. I have CS5 and can have a shot at importing it then saving it in format you can handle.
