Default Temporary outline even when no line fill

    Hi,

It would be nice if :

When no line fill is set as default, a temporary outline would show while creating objects.
It would be especially useful when using the freehand tool.

There is no visual feedback while drawing in this circumstance.

if the idea is to draw a shape freehand which is not reduced by the inner half of the outline, then a possible work around is to set the outline to '0px' - ok it will not give absolute precision, but it is as thin an outline as you get and in many circumstances makes no visible difference when removed

Thanks for the tip handrawn, it's a nice workaround.

Unfortunately lines at 0pt does show at export.

Have you tried switching to "outline dragging mode"?

Press Tab while dragging or double-click on the little Arrow-and-rectangle icon in the status line.

Yet another amazing hidden feature! The tab functionality is a nice detail.

Will Window > View Quality > Outline not do as well?

not sure exactly what Marc is doing - but for me if the idea is to draw filled shapes freehand without outlines, outline view is not good because you cant see the fills you've already done as you draw, and if there are lots outlines it can get rather confusing.. but yes it's an option

Agreed, as you say, not knowing what it's needed for, it is nice to explore other approaches as you gain a bigger arsenal.

Yes, that's the idea. Freehand and other shape creation tool.

One thing I noticed about the "outline dragging mode" is when using the shape tool only the last segment created is outlined.
It would be nice if they stayed outlined until you exit the tool.
