Default Gwpriester and the Magical Time

Reading the Guardian this morning ... a story about Greenwich Village back in the '60s ... happily surprised to find a post by Gwpriester! I was there too, Gary, back then... and as you said, it was a magical time. Replied to your post there... and put one of my own further down from yours.

After the article, comments about current New York prices and rents were shocking. There is absolutely no way you could live decently in Manhattan for very little money these days. I wonder where the art scene is now? Sure couldn't be there, except for a bunch of fakey galleries like we have here in La Jolla. Too bad we can't get all the stockbrokers to move to Jersey City or Brooklyn, which obviously have better views of Manhattan...

Any 20-somethings reading this? Where's the fine art world moved to?

Yes, gwp hangs out quite a bit on the Guardian website and is not short of opinions.
