    Default Minion

Grandson has moved from Postman Pat through Star Wars and is now into Minions so I have been doing a few poster for his new bedroom. This is the latest of these which are printed A3 size and put into an IKEA frameless frame for economy. Don't like the 3D text and its shading as it has been done for speed and I have never liked the results I get from Xara's 3D tool. Should I really say never get the same results as some others have in this site & Xara Users site. Did the usual way on the 3D text, cloned it, kept one on clipboard, joined the 2 lines of text and deleted some points to make background 3D surfaces, and then rendered the resulting shapes with various linear colours, then pasted from clipboard the front line of text.

Thanks all you have been far too polite. In 6 months time it will be something else. This one I spent more time on, cos. I liked the beard.

Hi Peter, I really like Tim, I was just wondering how the spectacles stay in place with no visible means of support (ears & nose). The hair is truly magnificent.

Thanks Bob. The hair and the gloved hands to me ages to get right. I hate copying but that is what he wants so he gets. I have started a new one using my own pencil sketches using his favourite characters in a big scene so if it doesn't take too long to do I will post again in this thread.
    Cheers
    Peter

I like them Peter. Looks like you are having fun with them. I really like that movie and the Minions are definitely cute.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
