I liked the idea of the heart. It can represent many things.
    So, here's my contribution.

Of those I've seen so far, Rik's has the right idea as it should not be too deep.
Can we have some guidance as to dimensions, colour palette and usage (ICO, web, stationery).
A brief can be a usage scenario or technically as detailed as you like but something around the organisation's future direction has to be a part of it.

    Rik - Nice clean design.

Acorn - The primary use will be on the website though I would imagine the logo will also be used on stationery and any printed materials. I would not worry too much about use at this point. Just keep thinking and cranking out designs.

Ron - I like the simpler PS with the smiles. I think it would work better without the plate. Just the smiling PS.

    Great ideas, guys.

Simpler version 1 without pie. Wasn't sure about color, so I used the same color as the menu bar on the website. Named colors, so it's easy to change.

BK, I like the left one very much. I would tune the colours to the current site (blue/red) and for the white parts have them as cuttouts so when printed onto coloured stationery or used in different site sections with a coloured background, the logo changes colour. I would have the plate and slice as the ICO.
