Mojo is a great app, Dave!

I don't know if this will work, because I don't have freehand, but you should try exporting your Xara file as an Illustrator file, opening it in Freehand and then reexpoting it -- as an Illustrator file -- and then importing it into AE.

When you import into AE, choose "As a Composition" in the import dialogue, and see if you get your original Xara layers.

If this doesn't work, you could probably pick up an old copy of Illustrator on ebay or somewhere else. It should be really cheap. Make sure it's Illustrator 7 or above, because Xara makes Illustrator 7 files. Opem your Xara-Illustrator files into Illustrator, do a save-as and they're all set to be brought into AE!

Just tried it with freehand9 and it doesn't work.
Not to worry I'm quite happy importing bitmaps into AE and then editing in Xara should I need it.
Shame, it would have given me that extra bit of functionality.

    Huge Regards
