Colour Select / Erase Tool Stability

Does anyone else here find that this tool is less than stable for their use? When it works, I'm quite happy. It's just that it seems to work <20% of the time for me.

Any one else having a shite time with this?

No issues here.
What 'stability' problems are you experiencing, crashes/freezes/AVs ?

I played with it several times without issue.

OK - perhaps the issues are only at my end...

I've had a number of occasions where the command freezes up after I've made my first 'selection', or laid down my first selection dot. I'm then unable to manipulate any controls within the command, nor can I add additional dots.

I have to hit escape, where then the selection is erased and I'm out of the command, but can undo. It's making me a little crazy, as I seem to be getting much better results in making some saturation changes to a number of large files, than I'm getting in PS CS4. Anyway, I may have missed something obvious, as I spent faaaar too much time staring at the screen the past couple of days.

I have had a few full blown Xara crashes in the past few days, but am not sure if I can attribute them to that command only. I think some large files was making it wiggy..

Thanks for chiming in Big Frank - I was thinking that I may have lost my mind a bit...

However, I just had good success with it over the past few hours.

If I find the issue again, I'll send in a report to Xara.
