This tutorial whetted my appetite for a much better brush tool, one where repeat brush objects respond to each other:

Heh, heh. That's what Gary, Frances, Sheff, me and others have been rambling on about concerning vector brushes.

You can download the older version of Microsoft's Expression Design (says it is a beta but never expires) or even version 4 and play with incorporating vector brushes into Xara products. Design those elements in ED and bring them into XDP or whatever.

And yes, this would be really great directly in XDP.
