    Post Bokeh effect

    http://abduzeedo.com/awesome-digital...fect-photoshop
I've just had a look at this simple yet amazing tutorial.
However I have a question: What is the necessary of creating a folder in Step 6? I tried not creating the folder and just painted the bokehs on layers only (set to Color Dodge), and it didn't work. But when I put the layers into a folder, it's possible for the effect. I just don't understand. Could anyone please explain this for me? Thank you in advance

If you watch the video there are a few more steps in that bit but it is too hard to see. It doesn't matter if you watch it in full screen or not the quality is so poor. If you can wait until tonight, UK time, I will have a bash at it as it shouls only take about 20 minutes to do.

You'll need to watch it on Vimeo and press the HD icon bottom right. Then it's all clear

Sorry to take so long but house and garden came first. To answer your question using the "Layer Folder Grouping" method is a quicker way to do it but it is not the only way. Read this link on the reasoning why it is better to group the layers: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/conten...oshop-cs6.html

Tried a few ways to copy the effect and you will see my attempt at the bokeh effect. I know it is not the same but it shows the effect. Also did a search on the topic and came up with this site. There are a few downloads for brushes but please watch as they download other stuff which you might not want on your computer: http://www.photoshopwebsite.com/phot...free-download/
