    Default Embedding a vimeo movie

    Hi,
In my web page set up a place holder and copied the embed text from the vimeo site into the body text box on the placeholder window. When I run the page the video shows OK but it is in the top left corner of the screen - not even on the web page and nowhere near when I placed the place holder.
The ember text from vimeo is:-
    <iframe src="//player.vimeo.com/video/73029790" width="500" height="281" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe> <p><a href="http://vimeo.com/73029790">Moulin de la Ville - Luxury Guest House in Beaumont du Perigord, Dordogne, France</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user11312847">Reg Moore Photography &amp; Video</a> on <a href="https://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>
    What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Nothing. Looks fine here and works as expected.
Can you post your file or the URL if published?

    Thanks Sledger,
I had the video on the wrong layer. It now works as it should.
    Many thanks again

    Hi Sledger,
I thought that i had this video thing fixed but I am still having problems ........................ it works OK in XP7 but when I stick it onto my server the Video shows up OK but it won't run. It is on www.moulindelaville.com on the Index page (English) and the index fr (French) page. I would be grateful if you would bring your vast store of knowledge to bear on this problem for me.
    Many thanks,
    P

Both run fine for me. Try refreshing your browser (right click the browser page).

    Hi Peter,
It works fine in IE9 - but not in Chrome, FF or Opera. I'd say it has something covering it.
Select the Vimeo movie placeholder and then press CTRL+F (to bring it to the front) then republish.

    Hi Sledger,
I tried your fix and although it works in IE - the movie runs OK, it still does not run in the other browsers. Any further ideas???
    Best regards,
    Peter

Please post your xara file for me to check.
If it's too large or private you may use admin [at] xara-users.info

Meanwhile, here's an example to show that it does work in other browsers.

    Hi Sledger,
    Thanks for your reply.
I have stripped out all the other pages from the xara file just leaving the page with the video. BUT - excuse my ignorance - how do I send the file to you????
    Best regards,
    Peter
PS I think that I just found out how to upload the file - hope it works!
