Gold and Silver Trinket Brushes



This month’s Giveaway is not one, but two custom brushes for Xara—trinkets in silver and in gold. Gary created the shapes as bitmaps using original and font designs from FBI’s Town Ornaments and then extruded and rendered them in one of the few commercial software packages Pixar ever offered to the public. They’re fun, they make great borders and they’re high resolution (300 ppi). You can even create a brushstroke, press Ctrl+Shift+S to make the stroke into editable shapes, and you’ll wind up with several high-resolution bitmaps with alpha transparency you can use for other projects.

It was sort of cool trying to invent novel symbols, and they might become part of a typeface I'll give away in the future. I got about 12 symbols so far, 14 to go!
