I have a free plugin installed from AlienSkin called Splat LE. I tried to find it on the AlienSkin site and couldn't find it anymore. I must have downloaded it while back. Here is a quick example of what I did with a photo:

There are a number of vector jagged edges that can be purchased from go media, I will usually use one of those and put 2 back to back, 1 one way the other mirrored. then joined together then I add shapes then I use the combined shape to do a slice and cut, on the graphic edge.just make sure you duplicate several times and set the shapes a side, you will need 3 more to complete the edges. Very nice result and in vector! Love Xara!
