I know this is a very basic question, but how do I draw a line from, say, 5,10 to 25,65?

You can click on the node at the end of the line and use the positioning on the info bar at the top

Hello dchawkins,
There is no feature that will allow you directly enter co-ordinates for a line. The little position box that Zaphodiest refered to actually tracks your mouse cursor not the line or any other item you may have selected.
There is however a workaround
1. Make sure you have a guidelines layer activated. You can do this by either dragging a guideline from a ruler and then drag it back again to remove it or right click a layer in the page and layer gallery and from the menu that appears select create guide layer.
2.Once the guides layer has been created select it in the page and layer gallery and click the properties button at the top of the galley and the layer properties panel will appear, click the guides tab and select either vertical or horizontal and click add new now a new box shows up which will allow you to input a location. This location will AFAIK, be based on the units you have set for the document. You can set as many guides this way as you need.
3. Once you have your guides set up make sure snap to guides is enabled in the windows menu, and you can snap your lines to your guides.

Autocorrect: It can be your worst enema.
True, but if you select the line and drag the end point then the cursor position is the end of line position Or rectangle, star, or any other selected itemThe little position box that Zaphodiest refered to actually tracks your mouse cursor not the line or any other item you may have selected.

I always seem to come in from left field.
In the Page options, set Units to Pixels, set Grid and Ruler spacing to 10px Major and 10 subdivisions.
Use Window > Show Grid and Window > Snap to > Snap to Grid.
Then use the Mouse Position indicator to locate and place your marks.
You will have to Scale your view to around 1600% for fine positioning.
