Info Tutorial - Creating Website Backgrounds

I have created a tutorial for how to create website backgrounds such as those found in the new versions of Web Designer 9 Premium and Designer Pro X9.

There are two methods, the first will work with all versions of Xara that support website creation, the second, will only work with Web Designer 9 Premium and Designer Pro X9.

Excellent. Is this also an example of the "web document" format now available in Pro X9? -Dan

On page 5 of the tutorial, I said you can rotate the tiling background. And you can. There is only one problem, as I found out the hard way. Instead of repeating one small tile endlessly to fill the background, if you edit the pattern on the pasteboard and rotate the tile image, it creates one large image which loads slowly and almost after the fact. My tile became a 1+MB file and this was for a mobile site!

If you want to rotate a background, create a new tile pattern that is rotated to begin with and then create a new xarabackground_.xar file.
