Does anybody know of a *free* program that can create fonts to be put on your font list that accepts bitmaps(bmp)!?! Kind of a very narrow list to pick from, but, considering the amount of feedback one normally gets around here, I'm hoping that at least one of you might know of one if there is such a thing! The only freeware font creator that I know of supports bitmapped fonts, if that's what you mean.
See Dave Emmett's page for details.
Here's a tutorial using a bitmap as the template for a font design.
