Default What kind of Spider is this?

Is there a special name for this spider, that makes this kind of web?

Seems to make a tunnel-like web.
If you zoom in, you can see the spider in the centre of the tube/tunnel.

It could be a Labyrinth Spider Which are apparently native to the UK. regardless though it's still a spider and still creepy! I tend to keep my distance from all spiders as we do have some poisonous ones around here (like Black Widows for one example) and I would rather not take any chances.

Does look a bit like that, doesn't it?
But, as you say, they're likely to be in Australia.

I think you may have the answer, Frances.
Does very much look like it.
So, you win the prize, I think.

OK Rik, so I got it wrong. Please tell Mr. Whatshisname not to get his panties in a bunch.
