    not got round to a mini-tut yet
    but been playing with techniques
    its geometrically guesswork
    nothings measured
    but im more pleased with it now
    the water droplets add to the illusion i think

    Wow, that is a great image you created! The water droplets really add to it.

    thanks boy

    i discovered by studying water droplets on glass, leaves, other surfaces, that water droplets aren't perfectly round as you might think and i wonder if that helps to give the image a more natural look

    I am sure that they do but your smart adaptation of the Heineken logo elements (including the colors) and the bottle cap's rendering all make it look very realistic. Actually it looks even more realistic than all the photographs of real Heineken bottle caps I googled.

    I might be wrong Frank, but I think the effect would be better if the highlights on the water droplets were to the upper left segment of the droplets rather than the lower right.
    The light is coming from the upper left.
