Strikes me Veneer has issues, at least back when I got it for free along with purchasing another font. If I recall, it was the shear number of points in the distressed areas. Slowed down both computers of mine when using very many characters.

The speed issue is mentioned at Mighty Deals, but it works well on XDP9 (32 & 64 bit) with no noticeable effect as far as I can tell.
Just doodling with it and I got an unexpected result, which adds versatility and I thought it was cool (see attached).
